It was with great joy that my friends & I opened up the home brewing kit. Talks of quitting our jobs to open up a micro-brewery floated through the air as we tore open the instructions.
“What kind of beer are we going to make?” asked J, who had brought the kit over. We mulled it over. A trappist ale seemed a little too…out of our reach at this point. A quad bock didn’t seem much better.
“So basically we’re pouring these crystals in water & adding table sugar? And why do we have to make a California Pale Ale?” I asked.
That’s right, friends. Many of you have probably considered brewing your own beer. What could be better than keeping an endless supply of cool refreshing summertime treats in the refrigerator? How about keeping a supply of warming dark ales on hand for those cooler winters? Maybe you’ve thought about playing at being a mad scientist & creating magical combinations like lemon porters.
